Behind The Smile

There’s more to Thailand than the smile

Five Things I Hate About Thailand

Published on May 29, 2008 by admin

  1. Sleazy Pattaya
  2. Smelly Tuktuks
  3. Pervasive Corruption
  4. Lese Majeste Laws
  5. Internet Censorship

I thought I would have the right to say that after all the years I lived here as a paying customer of the country. I could easily add more but I’ll leave it at this.

Iam amazed you only have a list of 5 I hate
    1. The dangerous,reckless, selfish driving.
    2. The dreadful stinks from time to time.
3.The noise …they are such a noisy race.
    4. Travelling on a coach the noisy stupid films or earsplitting music.
    5. Dogs everywhere barking, shitting and running across the roads.
6.The moaning that ‘MAI ME TANG” I HAVE NO MONEY.
    7. They don’t contol their children
    8. They think they are so marvellous and look down their noses and make jokes about Laos, Cambodia and Miramar.
    9. The mosquitos and other biting insects.
I too could go on and on and on but I sold my house and am now much
    happier living in the UK,

But why, you should have stayed on to improve things.

How can you improve the driving when even the police drive on the pavements with their motor cycles and often don’t wear helmets too.If you drive carefully and stop for example, when a traffic light turns red, it is more than likely that you will be hit by the vehicle behind tring to zoom through the red lights .

I used to like the cheapness of cinema seats, restaurants etc but with the pound now only being worth 52 baht as compared to 70 baht, it is not even so cheap.
I did like a physical massage especially by the blind masseurs/euses.
I am struggling to find five things I liked. The food is often presented in a beautiful fashion but I hated the spice which made me eyes water, nose run and throat burn.
There are some attractive looking people but every country has young attractive people and they don’t all sell their bodies for money, which is not good. The weather is too hot.Give me some help. What do you love about Thailand?
