There’s more to Thailand than the smile
The issue of sitting down in the movies has become quite hot in Thailand. In this country they show a pic of the king before a movie starts and you’re supposed to stand up. I find this rather ridiculous. I’m not the only one. Recently one Thai guy refused to stand up. I support him.
According to the Thaivisa web site there are plans to ban mobile phones in Thai cinemas. Not because they disturb other people, but because you might record the movie as a video on your phone and then sell it on as a DVD. Yeah, right. I’ve never heard a more hare-brained idea. It must be an April 1 joke that came one month late.
