All Alone
Nobody likes or understand Thailand anymore, with its archaic laws and selfish aristocrats. Sad.
There’s more to Thailand than the smile
Nobody likes or understand Thailand anymore, with its archaic laws and selfish aristocrats. Sad.
The police are coming out of their comfy airconditioned traffic booths for yet another show campaign. It is not to do something about the chaotic vehicle traffic, but to chase pedestrians for jaywalking. They sure got their priorities right.

I happened to hear Thaksin’s speech on the radio last Sunday. It sounded shrill and unpleasant. Like a kommandant addressing his troops. Then today we have another birthday of the Thai crown prince. I wonder what he got as a gift? Maybe one of the very tight uniforms he likes to wear? It seems nobody pays any attention to him, so it is hard to find out.

According to the Bangkok Post the current Thai foreign minister, a man named Kasit, who actively helped organize the fascistic PAD’s Bangkok Airport blockade last year, "meets the ethical standards set down for cabinet members and should stay in the cabinet", according to the charming puppet prime minister Abhisit. How much lower can it go?

I’m not sure what her nickname is but this woman is called Laksana Kornsilpa. It is an anti Thaksin person and it does not like people who disagree with her. Reminds me a bit of that slimy creep in lord of the rings. Gollum? Anyway. She has filed a less majesty case at Bangkok’s Lumpini police station against the entire board of the FCCT. I guess she wants to bring Thailand more shame, ridicule and disrepute. Should they not lock her up? That look on her face says it all. Crazy bag lady. By the way, what happened with the decent and upstanding Suwicha Thakor who was unjustly put in prison? Let us not forget him.
From the Bangkok Post today:
His Majesty the King has applauded Thai researchers and others involved in patenting the genes that produce the aroma in Thai rice. The King yesterday addressed a delegation saying the patent was a significant step in keeping Thai rice in the possession of Thais.
”I hope that every one of us will keep our Thainess by eating Thai rice, not farang rice,” he said.
”I thank everyone who has worked on the rice patent issue.”
His Majesty received a gold medal for his contribution to the research and development of Thai rice during the audience at Klai Kangwon Palace in Hua Hin.
That’s nice, except for the fact that the king needs to use a racial slur to refer to white people. But well. Now we know that every time a foreigner eats Thai rice he will also become a bit more Thai and who knows, eventually this foreigner may be be 100% Thai. All this through the magic of transsubstantiation. I hope that soon we will also have Thai water. The pope must be very happy with this peculiarly Thai adaptation of catholic concepts
Following the death of David Carradine I’ve tried to find out more about erotic auto asphyxiation. Why go through such contortions in a hotel closet when you can have all the fun you want in any way you want in the city of sins. It all seems mighty strange.
According to Bangkok Pundit, something significant will be announced on June 15. So keep an eye out on that date. His post is a cryptic as an announcement from the oracle at Delphi, but perhaps it refers to someone big and someone dead?

Abhisit says everything is getting back to normal in Thailand. Does it mean the military mafia and even higher ups are in charge again so that the maids and drivers and other footfolk can go back to do what menial task are supposed to do?
Sutichai Yoon has a Maoesque fit of self critique over at the Nation about the lack of investigative journalism in the local village rags.
